A Second Of Use Vs Your Second Use.
Plastic, one of the most incredible, innovative and durable materials man has made to date. There has been a global movement towards creating awareness surrounding the harmful effects that this material has created and led to, many of which could not be foreseen when we were first creating the plastic world we now find ourselves in. Imagining a world, even your own personal world without plastic can for some seem impossible! For many people, although they understand the dangers of plastic it can become a bit overwhelming, on where to start making a change. A meaningful change.
It is estimated that over 300 million tons of plastic are created every year, and around 50% of this is single use plastic. Single use plastic is that which after a few seconds or only a few minutes serves its purpose and then is discarded. Landing up in our landfills, rivers or oceans where its journey for the next few million years lives on. These plastics are often your plastic knives and forks you get with takeaways, your polystyrene bowls and cups, and even those cigarette buds lying on the floor.
This week, Wednesday, Greenpeace international is inviting you and everyone you know, to take part in there global refill day! This is an incredible way to start your journey towards living a more conscious lifestyle, or challenge yourself to take your journey even further. Remember every bit counts. So we’re asking you to join us in the global challenge.
All you have to do is carry your favourite container or jar with you next time you head to the shops, or grab a takeaway and ask them to pack, weigh or pour your favourite food items straight into your own device. Its super easy and makes a huge difference. Change begins with yourself. Join there event here.
Share your changes with us, we want to see what delicious foods you're getting and the beautiful containers you're using as well as the stores that are getting on board! Tag us and Greenpeace in your photos and join the global community who are trying to make a difference with #reuserevolution.

The Nude Ritual Odyssey
Our definition of conscious living lies in actively evaluating your activities related to your mind, body, soul and environment. We believe in knowing not just your body but the products, materials, food and everything that goes into the consciously being and consciously being human.
Knowing is understanding, and we are always striving towards becoming more in tune and more aware of our environments. As part of our endeavour to wear with awareness, we think it’s important that you learn about our journey, about how the clothes you wear are created and their adventure before they make their way to you.
Our odyssey begins in bountiful Bali. After being inspired by the culture and the lifestyle it seemed like karma when we discovered a factory on our travels that is driven to create sustainable fashion through using materials which are created from recycled plastic bottles and collected fishing nets. These materials originate from the U.S and Italy where the revolutionary process of raw waste materials are recycled and transformed into luxurious eco friendly, sustainable performance fabrics.
Our precious world is being suffocated by plastic. We believe in exchanging the notions of fast fashion and the ever-increasing unaware consumerist market for an informed, aware, slow fashion ideal created with limited edition capsule collections and small volume, recycled products.
So, just for a second, imagine if we could change the world? What if we could reuse that plastic bottle lying on the beach and turn it into something inspiring. What if we can try and learn how to take what we have and transform it and use it to send a message of hope, a message of community and advocacy to come together and take care of our minds, body and home …our planet. That is the mindset.
Once your garments are specially created into wearable fabric, carefully cut, designed, patterned and put together what happens next?
- Leave no waste. In order to try and make as little waste as possible, we have thoughtfully designed our offcuts to be tailored and created into our statement reversible bikinis. You can now buy our two in one bikini's in all of your favourite colours and patterns. Not a lot of leftover fabric = Not a lot of bikini = a lot of of skin.
- Your garments then make their way to South Africa in cardboard boxes, with zero individual plastic packaging and all the cardboard is recycled.
- Orders are then carefully packed into our special polybags, which become the perfect fertiliser for your plants. Check out the website for more details and more instructions here.
- Our statement white boxes and packaging that you’ll receive your garments in, can be 100% recycled - we have worked very hard on this so thank you for choosing the no plastic purchase.
- Bare with us, we are constantly striving for improvement and we are busy working on finding a sustainable solution for our online shipping bags. Keep a lookout because these are coming soon. That will be our final detail.
We are not perfect and we sure are not trying to sell you on that idea. We are trying our best and want you to come on board, give us feedback, advice and be a part of this movement with us. Let’s learn from and grow together. We hope that you are as excited as we are to continue and grow on this adventure as part of a plan. Let the journey begin. Tag us on your Nude Ritual journey and live fearlessly in that golden sun.
All our Love

The Generation of Adventure
BE -ing a part of the generation of adventure it’s only natural that I absolutely love the planet. The urge for the general escape into the wilderness becomes an addiction - and eventually, a satisfying life source. It’s from the earths deserts and seas, to the mountains and rainforests that inspired my interest in creating Nude Ritual, a generation brand whereby I am able to draw all my inspiration from the world around me and resemble it as prints on garments that we can wear as art on our bodies.
It, of course starts of with the feeling of freedom, the ‘real’ kind of freedom. The feeling of wanting to strip down naked and dance in the rain, sing in the sun, skinny dip in the sea and embrace the pleasant happiness of being comfortable enough to explore our nudity. Building on that, we can explore a world of prints and panels that encourage us be be confident, sexy and excited for living.
