" I've opened this app (instagram) to post something and closed it just as many times over the last few days. It's oddly daunting - looking at all this blank space under a photo that seems to just be waiting for something to say.
But like, where to start?
Every day ebbs and flows.
Good moments and hard moments.
Moments where the sheer enormity of all that we are experiencing as human beings right now literally just feels too big to even bear witness to.
Moments that feel so filled with love and contentment and peace that panic ensues soon after, with an anxiety, grief-filled fear of loss. We are facing our shadows, our demons, the things we've been pushing aside because we don't have time, or because the anesthetic of our privilege has given us this false sense of separateness. That we aren't ever, EVER as isolated as we think we are. We were never ever meant to live this way.
Systems are breaking and failing that have been broken and failing us as human beings for years. There is a sense of hope in all of this - what comes next won't be what it was before. Our planet has been firing warning shots for a long time, but we've been too busy to listen. I hope you make space to listen to now. I hope you feel that hope at the very least sometimes if not all times.
We don't have space for sleepwalking anymore. We can't do things the way they have always been done because that way doesn't work. How you do one thing, truly is how you do all things and what occurs in the micro of your world is what gets transferred to the macro. Every act of self-love and self care you do for you matters. Every bit of healing you do for you matters. Every time you adopt, accept, surrender and pick your new move matters.
Ground into your self daily.
If you need help, ask for it.
There never was a rulebook for life, in this falling apart we have never ever been better equipped to feel (FEEL) our way forwards as human beings.
This post is more brain spit than eloquence but it's what I've got to offer.
Along with a mantra that has helped me through my darkest moments - in the hope that it can be your lighthouse too if you need one. "
✨I am healing.
✨I am okay.
✨I am whole.
